City Awareness Programme

As part of the multi-pronged approach, a city Awareness Programme is being conducted to promote the survey among citizens at the city level. This programme aims to drive city administrations to increase awareness and engagement of the citizens by conducting specific city-level activities.

The city will be scored as per their compliance on the prescribed activities. These scores will directly impact the ranking of all cities on the Ease of Living Index 2022.

Details of Activities for Cities

Following activities may be undertaken by the city under each of the seven categories:

  1. Billboard & Hoardings: Publicity hoardings and pillar boards may be put up at city, for instance at the junctions, bus stands, commercial areas, railways stations and national and state highways.

  2. Wall Graffiti: Wall graffiti related to the EoL & CPS may be used to create awareness. A QR code linked to the survey form may be added.

  3. Campaigns: Campaigns may be organized to create awareness about EoL & CPS. Each Campaign is to have a minimum crowd of 50 people.

  4. Referral Survey Promotion: City may encourage the citizens to fill the online survey from using their referral code to increase the engagement.

  5. Print Media: Print media including Press Ads, Press Briefings and Editorials may be utilized for promotion.

  6. Digital Media: Social Media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and others may be used for better reach

  7. Innovation Initiatives: Innovative promotions through broadcasting & collaborations (e.g., radio jingles, movie theatres, eateries, etc.) may be explored. Also, broader stakeholder coverage through focused promotion (for senior citizens, employees, women, slum dwellers, shopkeepers, students, reaching parents through school children, including dovetailing with existing city-level events) may be investigated. City can also do promotion activities via merchandising (EoL caps in tourist places, EoL badges, EoL carry bags, EoL balloons etc.).
